Three individuals are facing legal action for making lewd and derogatory comments about BJP legislator Ketaki Singh on the social media platform Facebook.
A police official provided this information, noting that the remarks have incited anger among her supporters, raising concerns about public order.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Mishra stated that there was a strong local reaction to these comments, prompting the filing of two separate complaints at the Bansdih and Sahatwar police stations on Wednesday.
He further mentioned that investigations are currently underway in both cases. In Bansdih, a case was registered against Shivendra Satyarthi based on a complaint from Station Officer Rakesh Upadhyay. Satyarthi allegedly used offensive language against MLA Singh in a Facebook post, which could disrupt public peace.
In a separate incident, the Sahatwar police have filed a case against Ajay Yadav and Satyadev Yadav following a complaint from local BJP Mandal President Mithilesh Tiwari. Both are accused of making obscene comments about the legislator on social media.
